"...“She Loves Me’’ ... remains a pretty tasty confection, especially as whipped up by director-choreographer Ilyse Robbins at Greater Boston Stage Company. To Robbins, recently named to the new position of associate artistic director as the former Stoneham Theatre rebranded itself in hopes of cementing a place among midsize theaters in the Boston area, the term “old-fashioned’’ is no epithet. She has become identified with a certain polish and pizzazz, particularly when her expertise is trained upon extroverted musicals like “42nd Street,’’ “Thoroughly Modern Millie,’’ “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,’’ “Sweet Charity,’’ and “Mame,’’ all of which she has directed or codirected in Stoneham. But Robbins proves skilled, too, at teasing out the quieter, Old World charms of “She Loves Me,’’ - Don Aucoin, The Boston Globe
"A tender little tale to bolster all the lonely hearts this season. Ilyse Robbins directs and choreographs this feel-good musical." - Jared Bowen, WGBH
"If the cast and design team of Greater Boston Stage Company's She Loves Me happened to be in the business of football instead of musical theater, they would be hoisting the Super Bowl trophy for sure, notwithstanding the greatness of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Move over, Bill Belichick, and surrender your hoodie to Ilyse Robbins as the creative leader of this team of champions." - Nancy Grossman, BroadwayWorld.com
"Such dramatics might get out of hand if approached carelessly, but Robbins is as low-key in her handling of the script as she is colorfully inventive with the choreography." - Kilian Melloy, Edge Media Network
